Aminion formed in 2002 influenced by all extreme metal. In 2004 they shifted toward the direction of black metal, releasing the Embodiment of Blasphemy EP on Brethren of War Records before disbanding in 2005.
In 2015 Chad C. Watson resurrected Aminion as a solo project with a series of EPs and singles. In 2022 Necrotic Records released the original 2015-2018 recordings as Sanctum Devoid.
